  • How do I sign up to become a driver for Wridz? Video: Driver Signup Overview
  • When I sign up as a driver, can I drive in any city where Wridz operates?   Wridz is region based. Drivers subscribe to the region or regions where they wish to drive and pay a small monthly subscription fee for each region. There is no limit to the number of regions a driver can subscribe to.
  • I signed up on the website. Do I also need to sign up again on the app?  No. The same ID and password are used for both web access and for the app.
GENERAL
  • What are the vehicle requirements to drive on the Wridz Platform? All vehicles must be NO older than 15 years with 4 independent doors (no crew cab). There must be a seat belt for each passenger. Vehicles must be in good mechanical and cosmetic condition.
  • Are Wridz drivers employees of Wridz?  Wridz drivers are independent contractors that must meet certain personal criteria and certain vehicle criteria to drive. Wridz drivers are not employees of Wridz.
  • Does Wridz carry insurance? Yes, Wridz carries insurance that meets or exceeds all state requirements. Insurance documents are available on request.

    • My friend/family member is also an approved driver. Can I drive their vehicle as well?  An approved driver can "share" their approved vehicle with another approved driver. On the user home page, click "Vehicles" and follow the instructions to share your vehicle. Your vehicle will now become a vehicle selection option on the other driver's driver page. You may remove the "share" at any time. 
    • How do I register a second vehicle?  If the vehicle has not been previously registered with another driver (see previous question), you may register a second vehicle. Go to the "Vehicles" tile on the user home page and follow the steps to register another vehicle. Wridz personnel must approve all vehicles so another in-person visit must be scheduled.
    • Does the dash placard stay with the vehicle?  No. The dash placard is associated with the DRIVER. If you drive an alternate vehicle, you must move your personal driver placard to the other approved vehicle.
    • Can I see my trip history? Your trip history is available for both trips as a passenger and trips as a driver on the left slide-out menu. Tap the "Details/Feedback" button for a trip to see additional details about the trip, including both proposed and actual routes.
    • Is there a separate app for Wridz riders?  No. The same app is used for both drivers and passengers. If a user is an approved driver, click the button on the left slide-out menu on the app to change between driver mode and passenger mode.
    • Can I view a detailed invoice for my trip?  An invoice will be emailed to you for each trip. In addition, you may click the "Details/Feedback" button on you trip history page on the slide-out menu to view the invoice.
    • Can I see my account statement?  Your account statement as a driver and/or your account statement as a passenger are both available at https://Wridz.com.
    •  How do you use the GPS location information from my mobile phone as a driver?  The driver app tracks the location of the driver while waiting for a trip to ensure one of the closest drivers is assigned to the trip. While in route to the pickup, the app periodically must report its current location in order to make the passenger aware of the location of the driver that will be picking them up. The app must also periodically report its current location for the duration of the actual trip from the pickup to the drop-off locations to determine the actual route taken and the actual distance driven for fare calculation. The tracking of the driver's location must continue even if the driver places the app into the background due to a phone call, switching to a navigation app, etc.  
    DRIVER PAY
    • What is the policy for driver pay? Video: Driver Pay. Wridz is region-based where drivers can subscribe to one or more regions and pay a relatively small monthly subscription fee for each region. Trips will be assigned based on pickup location of the passengers. Drivers that are subscribed to the region for the pickup location will be eligible for the trip. The driver will receive the entire fare for the trip which includes any booking fees, distance/duration fare, tolls, etc.
    • How do I get paid as a driver?  Wridz drivers are paid through direct deposit set up with the driver’s bank account.
    • Will I receive a 1099 with my earnings?  Yes. our contracted credit card processor/depositor, will issue 1099's for all active drivers that have received deposits during the tax year.
    • How are taxes and surcharges such as airport fees handled?  Taxes and surcharges are paid by the passenger's credit card charge by Wridz and are paid to the taxing/charging authorities by Wridz.
    • How are tolls handled?  Most drivers have toll tags and will be charged directly for toll road usage. Therefore, any tolls collected from the passenger will be included in the driver payment for the trip. Drivers are expected to pay the toll authorities for the tolls incurred on a Wridz trip.

    SUBSCRIPTION FEES

    • How do the subscription fees work? 
      • Your monthly billing date will be set at your initial in-person interview.
      • If your primary region is currently active and accepting trips, you will be charged for the first monthly subscription for that region on the day of your interview.
      • If your primary region is currently being launched and is not yet accepting trips, you will not be charged immediately for the first month. Once Wridz begins to accept trips in your primary region, you will be charged a pro-rated percentage of your monthly fee for the time period until your next monthly billing date.
      • If you subscribe to an additional region, you will immediately be charged a pro-rated percentage of the monthly subscription fee for that region until your next monthly billing date.
      • If you pause a subscription for a region, your subscription will continue to be active until your next monthly billing date.
      • If you reactivate a paused subscription, you will have the option to reactive from your previous monthly billing date and therefore become eligible for trips in that region immediately, or you may choose to reactivate the subscription on your next monthly billing date and become eligible for trips in that region as of your next billing date.
    •   How do I subscribe to additional regions?  On your browser, log in to https://wridz.com. On your user home page, click the "Regions" tile which will display your current subscribed regions. Click the button to add a new region subscription and follow the directions to subscribe to the new region. You will immediately be subscribed and become eligible for trips originating in the selected region.
    • When will I be billed if my set monthly billing date is the 29th, 30th, or the 31st and the current month is shorter?   Billing will occur the last day of the month for accounts that have a later monthly payment date in a shorter month, i.e., your normal payment date of the 30th would occur on the 28th for the month of February. Billing is by calendar month. 
    • How do I unsubscribe to a region?   You may request to pause your subscription for any region at any time on the "Regions" tile on your user home page on the web site.
    • How do I reactivate a region I have paused?   Any region you paused may be reactivated by clicking the "Regions" tile, locating the paused region, and following the directions to reactivate.
    • How to I terminate driving for Wridz?   Pausing all subscribed regions will cease all monthly subscription charges. 
    • Can I use one credit card for trips and a different one for my automatic monthly region subscription charges?   Yes. You may choose a credit card to use for monthly subscription charges and enter a different credit card for use when you use Wridz as a passenger.

    RATINGS  

    • How do I report an incident or problem with a trip?  Using the Wridz app, select “my recent trips” from the slide-out menu. Under “Details/Feedback” you will be able to report the incident.
    • Can I rate my passenger?  At the end of each trip, both the passenger and the driver will be given an opportunity to rate each other. Comments may be included. A 3-star rating or lower requires a comment to be included describing the lower rating.
