Location Services

Wridz requires location services to be enabled at all times. The "Health and Fitness" option must also be enabled when the Wridz app is in Driver mode.

Location services are used for passengers to assist in selecting the pickup and dropoff locations.

Location services, including the health and fitness option, are used for drivers to:

Determine each driver's location while waiting for a trip in order to assign one of the closest drivers to the trip
Display to the passenger the assigned driver's progress while traveling to the pickup location
Display to the passenger the progress of the trip from pickup to dropoff locations
Determine the actual route driven from the pickup location to the dropoff location to calculate the fare for the trip
Log the actual route driven from the pickup location to the dropoff location for possible later review
Determine the actual pickup location and actual dropoff location to comply with policies for surcharge and taxing authorities such as airports

The "Health and Fitness" service is used by Wridz to determine the orientation of the driver's vehicle.

The location data must be available to the Wridz app for the reasons described above even if the user places the Wridz app in the background due to a phone call, switching to a navigation app, selecting music, or switching to any other app on the mobile device.
